    Tiago Emanuel Embaló Djaló Biography

    Tiago Emanuel Embaló Djaló is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a center-back for Lille OSC. He stands at 1.90m (6ft 3inches), dark in complexion, and weighs 82kg. He was born on April 9, 2000, in his native town called Amadora in Portugal. He is still young and has the potential to become one of the greats in the nearest future.

    Family Background and Early Life

    Unfortunately, Tiago’s family background is not known aside the fact that he has a brother named Miguel Djalo, whom he loves so much. Both of them were born in Amadora, Portugal and have pursued their individual dreams with much enthusiasm.

    Tiago lived most of his early days in Amadora, Portugal, he loved football as a kid and joined CD Metralhas in 2009 at the age of 9nine). The school he attended remains unknown for now but he always played football during his young age.

     

    Early Career and Journey to Stardom

    Tiago is still a player on the rise and he spent most of his childhood and teenage days playing for youth clubs, some not made known but later on, he moved to CD Metralhas where he started building his career.

    He joined CD Metralhas in 2009. He played till 2012 when he later moved to SF Damaiense, where he spent a year playing and developing before moving to Portuguese Giants Sporting Lisbon in 2013. He played for sporting for 5 years making his presence known and impact high, after which his value increased rapidly and was sought after by top clubs around the globe.

    Club Career and International Career

    After playing for youth clubs CD Metralhas in 2009, SF Damaiense (2012), and finally sporting in 2013, he started his senior career with the Portuguese giants and was in sporting for 5 years.

    Djaló made his professional debut with Sporting B on February 24, 2018, in a 2017-2018 ligaPro match against Academica.

    In January 2019, Djaló was signed by Italian club AC Milan and joined their youth team until the end of the season. In July 2019, alongside several other youth team players, he was invited to train with the first team by the newly appointed coach Marco Giampaolo on July 19, 2019, he played his first and only game for Milan, a pre-season friendly against Novara, coming on as a substitute in the second half

    On 1 August 2019, Djaló was sold to Lille OSC for an undisclosed fee, signing a contract until 30 June 2024. On 11 August 2019, he made his debut for the club, as well as in senior competitive football, starting in central defense alongside Jose Fonte in a home Ligue 1 opening game against Nantes On 23 October 2019, he made his debut in the UEFA Champions League, playing 87 minutes in a home 1–1 draw against Valencia.

    Djaló was born in Portugal and is of Bissau-Guinean descent. He is a youth international for Portugal. He made his debut in 2016 for his country, representing the Portuguese under17s, making 14 appearances and a further 3 appearances in 2018.
